So, we decided to get his real reaction, right out of the gates, love it our hate it, on N.O.V.A. 3. Fortunately for us, he seems to love it. ;-) Check out his thoughts below and let us know what you think of the game once it releases in your area! We might just add it to the blog.

Q: How does N.O.V.A. 3 compare to previous games in the franchise?
A: The game is way better than other games in the N.O.V.A. series. The graphics are better, the gameplay is better, the AI is better, & the rag-doll physics are AMAZING. This game is much better than the other games in the series!
Q: What is your favorite level so far and why?
A: My favorite level is the first level. It is downright ADDICTING to battle through the streets of future San Fransisco. The graphics are beautiful and the gameplay doesn’t seem to have a dull moment.

Q: What do you think the biggest change is between N.O.V.A. 2 & 3? Graphics? Gameplay? Story?
A: The gameplay is the biggest change for me. The controls are great and the game is very, very smooth… Seriously… It is surprisingly smooth.

Q: What is your favorite weapon and why? Was it the same in previous games or different?
A: My favorite weapon is the most simple weapon, the Assault rifle. I LOVE the new sight and even the sound it makes, shooting enemies is fluid and fast.

Q: Do the graphics look as good as you expected after watching the trailers?
A: The graphics in comparison are beautiful. Character models are way more refined the gun models are absolutely GORGEOUS and the maps are breathtaking. The graphics are actually console quality. This is the best looking and playing game on the App Store.

Well, when looking for the authentic burrito, keep in mind that a burrito might not be even be on the menu. In all actuality, burritos don’t even exist in authentic Mexican cuisine. Instead, it’s called a Taco de Harina, which features a steamed or lightly grilled tortilla with ONLY refried beans or meat (as opposed to the US version which generally includes a combination of ingredients).

Additionally, while places like Chipotle do offer DELICIOUS burritos, these are not even CLOSE to authentic. Think of Chipotle as the fast-food version of your local Mexican restaurant. Even traditional American burritos don’t usually contain white rice, but I will admit that they do have GREAT steak and barbacoa.

And if you are just looking for quality, I personally look for the following credentials:

1. The fresher the better. Even if I generally don’t like a certain fruit or vegetable, I find that trying something fresh can completely change the way I feel about it. The same applies towards burritos. While I enjoy any tortilla stuffed with steak, beans, rice and hot sauce, having fresh salsa, juicy meat, and soft rice and beans makes a world of difference.
2. Flavor is the most important. Sometimes, you can have fresh ingredients, and it STILL doesn’t taste right. They key is finding what you like. I’m not a fan of pico de gallo, so I generally veer more towards places that have a great chipotle sauce or tomatillo salsa. I also very much enjoy meat that is very juicy, but remains unseasoned. Regardless, every single ingredient in a burrito is extremely important, and only when you find the combination and quality of ingredients that you like can you consider your burrito great.

Now the real question, what is your weapon of choice in the event of a Zombie Apocalypse and why? And does your weapon differ if we are talking fast zombies or slow zombies? Ahh the question of the century!

Gabe: When the Zombie Apocalypse hits (yes, when) I will definitely be slow to react. I’m that guy who stays inside during a fire alarm until I’m absolutely certain that it’s necessary to leave. So if I DO have a chance to fight back, I’ll probably still be in my house, hopefully in the kitchen where there are passable weapons. Of those…I guess I’ll go for the frying pan. Easily accessible, and longer reach than a kitchen knife.

Now, on the off chance that I survive this first encounter, I’ll definitely be taking the double-tap advice of Jessie Eisenberg’s character from Zombieland. Slow or fast, I like my zombies double dead.

Jess: My weapon of choice would definitely be a sword. While I like guns, there is only so much ammo you can carry around with you before you run out (and I don’t know about you, but I sure can’t make my own). So, definitely a sword. I can cut any zombies heads off swiftly and easily that way. Also, because it’s arm’s length (unlike a dagger or knife), I don’t have to get too close.

I think this would also work with ANY type of zombie. Whether fast or slow, no one can escape the cut of a swift blade. O:)

Tom: While the classic zombie-killing instruments like the shotgun and chainsaw have their appeal, I’m going to mix up my mythologies and choose a lightsaber. Yeah I know, they’re not real-life thing, but then again, are zombies? Please don’t send me links to stories about real-life zombies in Haiti; I saw The Serpent and The Rainbow, I know.

Just think about the efficiency of a lightsaber in close quarters, when you’re surrounded by a mob of brain-eaters. Chainsaws have to work their way through a zombie’s body, and shotguns have to be pumped and reloaded. But a lightsaber can cleave through undead flesh like a hot knife through butter. In fact, give me that double-ended one like Darth Maul had, and watch how quickly rotten body parts pile up around my feet.

Me: For slow zombies, I am definitely going with a baseball bat! It will never run out of ammo or get dull like a knife, plus I can stay a decent distance away when striking… Don’t want any zombies getting within biting range, if you know what I mean!

As for fast zombies, that is a little harder. I’d have to go with a machine gun full stocked with ammo (note to self, stock up before, not after zombie uprising). I prefer the blasting power of a shot gun, but having to reload constantly is not convenient when you’re hip deep in a swarm of zombies. Plus with all the ammo in a machine gun, I’m bound to hit some of them in the brainzzzz!

Shots Fired in Abandoned San Francisco

Unconfirmed reports of an explosion and shots fired in the abandoned ruins of San Francisco earlier today. Sources claim that members of the N.O.V.A Troops attacked the Volterite protectorate with no cause or warning, setting off a series of shootouts. No additional information has been reported about the reason behind the attack or the outcome.
Events are ongoing and we will continue to update you with more information.

Explosion and shots fired have been confirmed. A Volterite source has confirmed that he was attacked with no provocation by N.O.V.A Troops and we’ve received the following image from the scene.

We tried to contact the head of N.O.V.A for comment, but have had no official response. This is the second unprovoked attack on the government allegedly carried out by N.O.V.A Troops. We will continue to update you when more information is available.

Civil War Feared In Wake of President Folsom’s Death

Ceremonies are planned this week to mourn President Folsom’s untimely death, including several protests both in support and against the late president. Details surrounding Folsom’s death are still scarce but unnamed sources claim that the president was assassinated by a rogue militant, with some even suggesting that the killer was a member of the N.O.V.A Troops.

In response to the political turmoil, the government has put the colonies under Volterite protectorate fearing civil war between the members of the colonies loyal to the Volterite and the other rebel colonies.

“The colonies are of course deeply saddened by the death of our dear President, but we will move forward, united,” said a presidential official.

We attempted to contact a N.O.V.A spokesperson for comment, but have not heard back at time of publishing. More announcements are expected shortly.
